What other time matters?
When your phone is just sitting on your desk and you are on another call and it farts. Or when you are recording someone and you get the electronic "PPPBBBBTTTT" just because it can.

I've been happy with Verizon. I think their new razor is only $79.99 with a two year agreement. Service is fine, although with my particular phone, I tend to get a lot of calls missed and am notified only by them coming to voicemail. That is probably the only con I have had so far, but I think that is due to the phone more than anything else.

The other cool thing is that you can get a new phone every year and get like $50 or something off the price...so, you don't need to worry about keeping the same phone for more than two years...and often times (like the last two times I have gone in for a new phone) they have had something decent for $50, so I've always gotten a new, free phone.

As for billing, they have that functionality on their website or you can just set up a direct deposit, which I normally try and do so I don't have to worry about it.

I've been with Verizon for about 6-7 years and couldn't be happier!

word. i have verizon, and i'm happy. i've done a fair amount of travelling over the last few months (florida, california, texas, vegas) and never have any problems with getting a signal anywhere.

my wife had centennial before i put her on my plan (an extra $10/month), and the difference was night and day.

i also cannot recall having a single call dropped.

I've been on all of them except Centennial. While I've never had t-mobile, I have had voice stream, and whatever it was called before that. I've had verizon, sprint, nextel, and cingular. Sprints coverage was pretty good, but their customer service was single handedly the worst I've ever dealt with, ever. Period. Verizon was decent, but again, customer service was almost as bad as Sprints. Cingular featured decent customer service, no dropped calls, but incredibly overpriced plans. Nextel was the best customer service I've ever dealt with ever, and their phones were so powerfull, you could probably get service in a bomb shelter, but their plans were too expensive. So, now that the awesome customer service of Nextel has merged with Sprint, I'm back at sprint. So far, I'm happy.

ollie, things to consider with sprint:

the merger with nextel helped in a LOT of areas. Including signal
Where you work, it's like the dead zone between 2 sprint towers. I drop calls ALL THE TIME on hillegas right by the station.

however, i'm with nextel, very very happy. the only bummer is that all the "fun stuff" are add ons and typically about $15 bucks a pop.

im pretty sure it refers to import/export

for example ... my number was KL5-1234 when i was with centennial ... when i decided to go with tmobile (mistake) i had them port my number over so that im still KL5-1234

that way i didnt have to go outta my way to inform evryone and their brotha.sista that i had switched numbers

much easier

just ask sturm ... he didnt port and then decided to port ... there was a short period of time when gettin ahold of him was a straight up pain in the arse

Too true. Although, for some reason I do still remember my old cingular number. But definitely, get your old number ported over.

I have centennial I pay 150 for 3 phone lines with the works including text messaging insurance and none of the three of us ever go over our minutes free long distance free incoming unlimited text bla bla bla

If you want a free phone and your contract is up start bitching that you want a new phone or you will switch over to a different company...if you want I can try and do it for you-I have gotten a decent amount of free phones in my day... just go in there and bust balls, if they don't wanna play hardball...there's always another store just a few miles away and eventually you will get some guy to give you the razr you want without having to pay 129 look them in the eye and threaten threaten threaten to leave them

I've been with Verizon for about 3 years and love em.
The plans may be more expensive for a single line, but me, my brother and mom are all on the same plan: 1000 daytime, unlimited nighttime,in calling/text/pix and 500 texts for 110 a months is great for us.
I dont drop calls and I get service mostly everywhere I go in northern indiana except for large areas outside of west lafayette, peru and north manchester. Strange huh?

I recently switched to an LG "V" after I dropped my motorola in a glass next to my bed (it was still ringing underwater). I had no insurance but they still let me get a credit on the V after a little negotiations. Bills are always right and the customer service folds after the slightest hint of terminating your plan. I love it!

I had Sprint for a year and a half down in nashville and hated it. They would actually shut my phone down for nonpayment 4 days before my bill would even be posted....it would always happen at the most inopportune times too arrgh.
