Which would you go with - Digi002R or MOTU 828 with Digital Performer upgrade - running on a Macintosh of course

Cool, thanks. I don't use much MIDI. I'm kind of old school - live acoustic drums, live horns and wind instruments, etc...
I am thinking about going with the 828 for now, and eventually upgrading. I'd eventually like to have the 2408 with the Tascam DM-24 (or whatever the replacement is called), since that would give me 24 live channels using the 2408 TDIF interface. What do you think?

motu DP 4.5 with an 828 interface and a Mac CPU is the way i go. digital performer is very user friendly for those of us with a very rocky love/hate relationship for computers.

MOTU. Not only can you use DP, but for those of us who are PC based and don't need a large suite of apps, MOTU hardware also makes a great front end for SONAR and anything else PC based.
