Any good hand percussion teachers around?

Post by girlzrock »

I'm thinking about taking some hand percussion lessons. Want to get better and would like to stop smashing my hand up at every gig. Does anyone know any good (and not too expensive) hand percussionists in the area that would be willing to give lessons. My time is pretty limited so I probably won't have time for on going lessons until summer but would really like to get in a few lessons before that. Any help you can give me would be very helpful.
Thanks!

Lalo's still in town. He's playing kit for Ty Causey, but he's also teaching. I'm not sure how to get in touch with him right now though... He's too busy, I'm too busy... He's also working at Sweetwater in the shipping department.

Mike Shorter from Mojo Dub might be a good one to talk to. You could reach him thru Mojo Dub's myspace, he is also in Mojo's top friends.

You can reach Lalo at: 260-744-1709. Best to call him around 10:00 A.M. before he goes to work at Sweetwater.
