*yawn*
Who cares? Both bands suck equally.
Oasis claim Green Day ripped them off
Noel Gallagher has accused Green Day of ripping-off one of his biggest Oasis hits.
The rock hero has claimed in a new interview that the global smash "Boulevard Of Broken Dreams" is based around his own "Wonderwall."
Gallagher--himself credited with recycling the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and others during his Oasis career--is upset by the timing of the punk-pop group's song.
"They should have the decency to wait until I am dead. I, at least, pay the people I steal from that courtesy", he told Stuff magazine

Maybe Green Day got confused because Oasis's career was dead.

I could go without either one of the groups however...
They were both part of music growing up in my genertation, Oasis kinda disappeared (though i know they were still around), but Green Day turned themselves from suburban? punk rock into a pop rock legend and is still making strides.
Oasis just pops in every once in a while to rub their ass on someone.
so I guess I am just plain torn.

I think Noel needs to do a headcount of the Stones, Beatles, and Smiths. When Oasis was big, the body count was what, two? Or am I missing a Stone? None of the Smiths are dead except to each other.

I always thought Greenday ripped off "Scrubs" by TLC for that song, no sh*t. Listen to "BOBD" while humming "Scrubs." It is sadly shocking.
