Taxi ride home. . .$20? Calling a friend to get you to your car in the morning? Shame and humiliation plus a Chinese buffet. I think I'll take the taxi.
There are 10 types of people in the world.

Those who understand binary. . .

. . .and those who don't.

Nice, Garr. For the cost conscious, that's the way to go.

BUT, for the big spenders that cringe with embarassment at having to hitch a ride to the car, I present.....THE ANSWER.

Have a tow truck come and tow your car home. They give you a ride, your car makes it home in one piece, you save the night in jail and the bail money.

Cost? $35-60. Less with AAA. May be free, depending on your insurance.

Take it from someone who's managed to find new and exciting ways to party for as long as some on these boards have been alive.

Try it....you'll like it.

I disagree with that article. I, many years ago, got popped with the dui. It did not cost me anywhere near that much. However, it was stupid and a very poor choice on my part. The ramifications could have been so much more.

I say call a cab or a friend. The pop the hood (as I'm sure bassjones jested), while sounding like a good idea, will probably get you nothing more than arrested for PI at the very least. At the worst, they will probably nail you for intent to drive while intoxicated.

Bottom line, if you want to drink, fine, just have a backup plan for getting home.
