My new (to me) bass

Post by bassjones »

6 String Fretless Unlined board. Carvin with the two J-style pickups. I shall be in the practice room a lot in the near future, I can tell you that. The board is wide, there are no cheater lines, so my fingering has to be spot on accurate. The good news is it sounds great and the neck is pretty easily manageable, much more manageable than a lot of sixes I've played. Very thin, fast neck. Took it immediately to Travis at Guitar Exchange for a setup and picked it up about an hour ago. Well, I'm off to practice with my tuner pedal on to work on my intonation.

Not a chance. I'm too much of a snob to play that bass. Mine's like this...

Only with an extra string, no fretlines, and 2 j pickups instead of the bridge humbucker.
