You know, that would be pretty dang close to my list too - both lists...

Replace the 77's Island Release with Pray Naked (or was that early 90's?) and add Level 42 in there somewhere. Circle Slide is a great album. The drums on that are incredible!

77's Pray Naked - 1992

I saw them on this tour down at Taylor Upland. GREAT show! I got to yak with Mike Roe after the show, even though he was a little obnoxious. I talked a lot more with drummer Aaron Smith, one of my favorite drummers, about the making of Mannequin Virtue with Vector.

Oh yeah! and more particularly, 'The One Thing.'
That song got me to start taking all that weird new MTV music more seriously because the song was so good. The band and a bunch of people were eating at a huge Baccanalean feast in the video. There were huge amounts of food (and kittens!) on the table.

The video for the last song on that album was cool, too. While the drummer is sitting half asleep at his kit, the synth opening is playing, and the rest of the band rolls in in the back of a pickup. The drummer wakes up and they play the song. - good times.
