I've been thinking about condensing various stomp boxes back down to a multi-FX pedal. I own a few BOSS stomp boxes, and some other pedals, but I'm tired of tap dancing around on pedals, and it's a real pain in the butt when I use more than one effect at a time.
Has anyone ever used this pedal, or own this pedal? Or heard good or bad things about it?

I am going to advise that you rethink your position on effects pedals. I've never heard a multi-effect pedal that sounds even half as good as its bretheren it tries to emulate. I would rather have 30 feet of seperate effects pedals than the reduced quality sound. Your tone will take a nose-dive for sure.

Yeah I was a little concerned about that. I wasn't sure if maybe BOSS had made some progress on multi-effects stuff.
I was thinking of running an effects loop with it though, and running the clean channel on my amp. I don't know, maybe I'll just buy a bunch of effects pedals when I get back. haha.

Add me to that list... Plus you end up with 500 effects you won't ever use and like MB said, the ones you do have aren't as good as their stomp box bretheren. Tried the Boss GT6B... hated it... love my boss chorus though. I might think about the Roland Bass Synth at some point, but that's a whole different ball game there.

You could always buy a rack case and then hook up everything with a foot switch controller, its like having multi-effects only you actually have each individual box elsewhere. The Edge uses a big 'ol Bradshaw rig controller for all his boxes.

Something like that would be really cool too...probably expensive, but really cool. I believe the guitarist from Porcupine Tree recommended something similar to me. There are way too many options, my head will probably explode mid-decision.

I'm not a huge U2 fan or anything, but 'ol Edgey has a great set-up. He has everything dialed in perfect and then his massive footswitch is labeled accordingly. He really does have a spectacular sound.

Yeah, I'm the same way. I've never really listened to that band much, but I've always appreciated the edge.
I suppose if I could have any set up and I had a roadie, I would steal John Petrucci's old rack from 1995ish...I bet I could find what I need in rack below...

That is completely insane! You'd need a good guitar tech too just to make sure all that stuff was working together and not killing all your tone.

Hey, we agree on something.

haha.
Yeah, I often wonder how necessary half of that rack really is. When I was a teenager and used to go to Dream Theater shows, we always thought it was so cool that they had like 3 racks each.

I wonder how many pedals BB King uses.
