Is he upset with Imus actions? Or the way Imus was treated for his actions?

I was comparing the article with the same sort of
conditions that Imus was subjected to.

Well I was referring to the statement in the article about Imus. I wasn't sure if he was thinking that Imus was treated unjustly and now so is Twista. Or was he just blaming Imus for getting in trouble leading the way for him to get in trouble.

Point being was he saying that the content of his lyrics are less offensive then the comment that got Imus fired. Or is he concerned about censoring media in general?

I think that you should be able to say whatever you like. That doesn't mean that there wont be consequences due to the fact that you may have offend someone or a group in the process.

Now to be fair, outside of the radio releases I don't know Twistas lyrical content enough to say one or the other about his content, but as an example I will just refer to vulgar Hip Hop in general.

Imus' comment was rude and uncalled for. I don't believe that some of the "Vulgar" Hip Hop lyrics I have witnessed are any less offensive to African American women (or women in general). I do believe that you have every right to use those terms but you must be ready to accept the fact that those words may affect your image and royally offend folks.

I also believe that McDonald's has every right to deny his performance if they don't feel that it is going to portray the image that they want (haha they have enough image issues on their plate as is).

HOWEVER, I think that a properly run business should have discussed their concerns with Twista and his management before writing him off the bill. If he was willing to change lyrics (which for many artists, that is quite a sacrifice to their art in itself) then I think they should have come to a healthy and professional compromise. Since the didn't give him that opportunity I think that they are in the wrong.
