Now, I got two days to become Billy Sheehan - and pay for a ticket to LA - and probably lose 150 pounds - or more.

I suppose Dave LaRue turned him down.

And/or Billy Sheehan, Stu Hamm (those two are doing another BX3 tour with Jeff Berlin - I think...), etc... I wonder what LaRue's up to...

He's playing with Petrucci and Satriani(yep both of 'em) on the G3 tour. I prefer both of those guys over Vai. There's some pretty sweet youtube clips of Dave ripp'n it up on his Bongos on the current tour.

Dave LaRue is playing with Satch too? What happened to Stu Hamm?

I actually saw Vai with Sheehan a few years back on the G3 tour. I was walking back to the car with my JEM in hand (freshly signed by Vai) and Sheehan walked towards me and said, "Nice guitar!" I shook his hand and said, "thanks, nice show!" Oddly, Tony Levin once complimented my King Crimson "Discipline" shirt after a solo set of his. Those creepy humble bass players. :)

LaRue's freaking awesome. I dig Billy, but I too prefer Dave. I've never been a huge fan of Stu's solo stuff, but love his playing with guys like Satch. I'm hoping BX3 tours again this summer and they come anywhere close to Indiana.
