If you are a bassist...GREAT! If not, and you know of one, could you please help me network...it would be greatly appreciated.

Currently our band (Evolve) is looking for a Bassist...

We are looking to fill out the line up of: Singer/Keys, (2) Guitar, Drums (4 members currently) and get out and start playing. We are both an original and cover band. We want to be able to go to a venue and have our band play by ourselves if necessary, playing covers and originals, but also work towards original songs and be able to play those with other local acts too. We have plenty of material to play right now. (Both covers and originals). We are trying to hold off as long as possible to get a bassist in the mix, so their say-so in the band is just as important when it comes to writing original music. Our biggest genre influence is alternative rock, but we also play jazz, blues, etc. Some bands might say they play different genres, but really don't. We actually do. We have open minds when it comes to genres. Once we get the last piece of this puzzle in place, we want to get out and start hitting the scene.

We have a combined 45yrs. of experience. Our average age is 25.

We practice 1-2 days a week, pending schedules.

We have a PA for vox, keys, etc.

We also have a bass and amp, just in case you are of talent and currently without gear.

(We would prefer you have your own gear, but we are willing to be flexible.)

If this is something you are interested in, please contact me ASAP. The best way to reach me is by calling 260-241-4627. This is my cell phone and I carry this almost always. You can also send me a direct email @ davidb@intprod.com <-- I check this email M-F, 8-5.

Of course, I will also reply to any other posts left here.

What bands and material are you presently covering? How large is your current songlist and how much of a "catch up" would a bass player be faced with upon joining your band? Where do you practice? Ft. Wayne? Where? I have 20 years experience and would possibly entertain the idea if the circumstances were right!! Would only be good for one rehersal a week, though due to my current schedule!
