Open Wounds is looking for an expiernced Bassist. Not looking for an exceptional player but someone who has the generalized idea of playing the bass. We tune primarily in Drop C & Drop D tuning. We incorporate a wide variety of styles into our music. Anything from slow, dark melodies to fast paced speed metal. We have played out with such bands as, Sirface, Descended, Shunned, Zephaniah, and of course our good close friends, Bludspyre.
Our music is not heavily bass influenced so like I said before we are looking for someone who knows how to play the bass and knows how to write their OWN riffs for the songs.
Must--between the ages of 21-30. Own Equipment, reliable transportation, willing to practice once a week on Saturdays, good showmanship, and a good creative side, willing to go out to shows and promote our band, and last but not least must be able to do the road work such as helping finding and setting up shows.
Preferable--Backing vocals, ability to switch from bass to rhythm guitar on a few songs.
