I too like some showmanship with my live music performance. Not a big KISS fan (too much show, not enough music performance IMHO), but my favorite show ever was the Peter Gabriel UP tour. Incredible show with amazing musicianship. Peter bouncing around the stage in a giant rubber ball, riding a bicycle, descending from above in a phone booth, etc... Meanwhile the stage is round w/ the main inner circle spinning one direction while the outer ring is spinning the other direction, sometimes stopping, sometimes changing directions, simply fun to watch. At the same time the band was KILLING IT all night.

Tool and Dream Theatre are also known for putting on a hell of stage show to go with their incredible musicianship. I've not yet seen tool, but I've seen Dream Theatre a few times and they're always amazing.
