The most delicious menu item in Fort Wayne

OK, so for the last year and a half, I've contended the most delicious menu item in Fort Wayne is at Paula's, and it's the fish tacos. What's mroe, they are reasonably priced at $7.95. Simply heavenly.
However, on Friday night, I found a new favorite. Granted, it's a dessert. But still -- this item was so delicious, and it made me have such unclean thoughts, that I nearly had to remove my wedding band just to finish it.
It was the Shake & Cake at Cold Stone. They use the cake batter ice cream, milk, actual chunks of yellow cake, and you MUST request they add malt (duh). For good measure, my wife had them throw in some cookie dough.
I'm not kidding you, my loins are heating up just thinking about it.

It sounds like a PMS dream come true. Just add the french fries and I'm there!

Just the thought of Fish Taco's makes me cringe. I've never mustered up the guts to try 'em.
Coldstone's Cookie Dough is the bomb. Never tried the Shake & Cake, though.

Cajun Seafood Gumbo @ Hall's Gas House – Eternal happiness in a bowl, hot going in and going out. Only gumbo that is better is the recipe I make that was inspired by it.
Grilled Slamon @ Casa Grille - again, only I make better.
Kung Pao Pork @ Saigon on Calhoun - -I can't duplicate it!
Catfish and Collard Greens @ Bridge's Fish Unlimited - unfortunately, not there any more.

Buffalo Burgers at the Johnny Appleseed Festival.
There's not one thing about them that sets 'em apart; it's a throwback to being a kid. I love the Johnny Appleseed festival because it's out in the woods and the smells are incredible.
Plus they shoot cannons which we all know makes anything taste better!

Yes, FW City Council should add an addenum to the restaurant smoking ordinance:
"All restaurants in FW MUST have a cannon. . . "

The crab cakes at Chops are great.
So is the black and blue Ribeye - which for them means cajun seasoning and a topping of melted blue cheese, not a traditional black and blue steak, which is brined, then grilled over a low heat, rather than seared and grilled over a high heat.

Yep, they've cut down their hours considerably. A most worrisome sign.
