Anything is better than Margot Kidder as Lois Lane,

man, i thought margot kidder rocked. of course i haven't seen the supermans since i was in the single digits.

true, perhaps distasteful, tidbit: i like the show house. combined with The Motorcycle Diaries, it makes me want to get an MD - which i very well may do, assuming a school is awesome enough to accept me with a limited medical undergrad (where limited means non-existent).

I just saw it last night at the Opryland IMAX theatre down here in Nashville...with 20 minutes of it in awe-inspiring 3-D!!! The plane sequence is just absolutely astounding in 3-D. If the IMAX down in Indy is showing it with the 3-D sequences, it would be worth a road trip and the higher ticket price to go see it.

I pretty much agree with what everyone else says except for the stuff about Kevin Spacey. I think it was good casting, however, I didn't like how KP played Luthor. I missed the sadist tendencies of Gene Hackman's Lex Luthor (Pushing a guy in front of a train with a moving wall, anyone?). Luthor would have never kept his sidekick/girlfriend around after what she did. He would have pushed her out of the helicopter (and her little dog, too) and found someone else to fan the flames of his ego. Hell, he (Gene Hackman's Luthor) might have done that anyway even if she hadn't done what she did, just to make the helicopter fuel last a little longer.

I totally dug this movie. The actors were all great, and the special effects just the right amount. I thought the story was really cool, and I liked that they tied into the original series. Of course they're forgetting three and four, but I don't really remember those all that well anyhow.

Anyone else notice the not so indiscrete "christ-pose" as he's falling through space? What's up with these popping up in every movie where there is a savior? "

i'm going to go ahead and guess he just read the lines, and acted them out--and that he didn't write the script.

:x

while the symbolism can be pathos-strong, it's really terrible to start these precedents. soon i'm going to start making anti-xtn flyers.

I enjoyed it a lot.

My boyfriend is a HUGE comic book fan and said it was great.

My uncle hated it. But he's cynical.
"You know when you go to a concert like punk-rock and the kids get on stage and they jump into the crowd? People think that's dangerous, but not me... because humans are made of 95% water, so the audience is 5% away from a pool."
