Saw it, liked it, good music, good riffing on the evil's of suburban sprawl.

Still, doesn't hold a candle to any Pixar movie. Dreamworks is just sub-par in my book, I mean, I don't really enjoy the Shrek films either.

i liked the shrek films due to the "adult" humor in the kids movie... i like the fact that the writers know that there are gonna be parent's struggling through the movie so they through them a bone that's just over the kids' heads.

but i have a problem watching animated films with well known actors... I don't really see the donkey, I see eddie murphy...

I mean, none of their "best" stuff comes even close to the worst Pixar movie (by worst I mean at the Box Office) which was A Bug's Life, which is still a classic.

If you're waiting for Pixar, Cars will be out June 9. I plan on taking my young 'un to that one for her birthday.

This and Over The Hedge are
the top of my "go see" list...
also, with my young 'un.

Other recent so called block busters
just aren't drawing me in yet.

These however will be great escapism!

I am also looking forward to the new "Pirates" flick and "A Prairie Home Companion". But I'm super stoked for "Nacho Libre".

Pirates and X-Men are also on my to-see list, but without the young 'un. She wants to see The Wild.

(OK this isn't exactly 'animal'...)

Plus there is another one about penguins named 'Happy Feet'...that's some serious-ass animated animals.

I saw it last week and absolutely loved it!!!!!!

Laughed constantly!
"You know when you go to a concert like punk-rock and the kids get on stage and they jump into the crowd? People think that's dangerous, but not me... because humans are made of 95% water, so the audience is 5% away from a pool."
