Matthew Sturm has sold me a couple of fine capos, a couple of tuners and many, many, many sets of strings over the years. In return, I have sent several people there to buy their guitars from them. Excellent service and a very knowledgable staff in my opinion. Their new location is fantabulous as well (located about 50 feet to the left of their old location).

B-sharp changed the strings on my wifes Epiphone, tightened up the neck, checked on the XLR jack, cleaned it and tuned it for her all for a great price.

Then they made fun of me and TOTALLY hit on her.

Bastards.

We will be back... oh yes, WE WILL BE BACK.

(shakes fist)

I went in to look around when the Gibson truck was out there. Had my 6120 restrung, (hey it was free). I understand it was a crazy day, I went in about 2 wks later to look for a new Gretsch. I didnt like that fact that I was almost in an arguement with 2 of the people (I wont name anyone) about the Gretsch guitars. While I know Gretsch guitars forwards and backwards, they still persisted on telling me that I was wrong. Until, they finally looked it up and saw that they were wrong. That is a BIG NO NO in my book. So, I wont go there anymore.

I had a very nice experience at B-Sharp today.

Waiting to see my doctor at The Heart CEnter, I killed 45 minutes there. I am sort of loosely shopping for an amp, nothing serious, but it will be soon.

The counter dude (who I suspect - alright, I KNOW - is a local rock star) was extremely helpful, and didn't blow me any rock star attitude (a trick that some lesser lights who used to work at Music Star could have learned, I think). He let me play a very nice Stratocaster through a couple of amps, and I was knocked out by the sheer wonderfulness of the re-issued Fender Deluxe Reverb.

Still impressed with the stock of guitars and the pleasant vibe in the room... but I'd sure like to see a couple more cooler amps... a THD, a Rivera, something juicy.

Other than that, a perfectly lovely hour.

favorite local store. I wish they had a better selection of basses and bass amps though. I'm not a big Ampeg fan. Some higher end stuff in this town would be nice. Epifani, Bergantino, etc... Basses too. MTD, Lakland, something along those lines.

I'm sorry if I argued with you. I think if it was indeed me, then I think maybe I just came across wrong. While I try to be as knowledgeable about everything that we carry, and alot of things that we don't carry, I'll be the first to admit if I don't know something. If it was one of the other guys, well...All I can say is I'm sorry.

I'm really glad to hear it. I'm sorry I was the only one there and didn't get a chance to show you the new Gibson Goldtone. That was one that after you left I thought, "dagnabbit, I should have shown him that". It's awesome. If you get a chance you should come back in and check it out.

I have no idea why I got roasted by you, but I'm happy you had a good experience at B-Sharp!

Brian, I want to clear up publicly that this remark was not aimed at you... in fact, I found you to be very helpful when I was looking for a very specific rock vocalist for a project and you pointed me to the guy from "Brother", who totally killed the gig, I might add.

Brian and i have shared some e-mail, and I think he understands I wasn't shooting this remark at him. But I wanted the forum in general to understand this as well.

To restate, Mr. Sturm was a pleasure to work with. I really like the Goldtones I've played through, I was just out of time... next time, I'll bring my own Strat in.
