I'm looking for information and/ or feedback on local live sound techs, persons, etc., who are for hire. Who is the best around? Who is the best for your money? Who is just plain cheap and great to use for those low-dough gigs?

Any sound man or woman out there looking for work this summer? Hit me up and let me know what you have and what you charge for a full night.

Thanks y'all!

I have run sound, but I used the bands equipment.

With your two considerations listed above, you are going to need to pick one or the other in most cases.

great>cheap

what sort of sound reinforcement do you need? singer-songwriter, 4-piece loud rock band, 18 piece big band, jazz combo? Depending on your needs, I may send you to different people.

Needs are for a 5 piece rock band.

Understood that great doesn't = cheap, but was trying to ask who others have used when they may be on a tight budget.

Thanks guys!

Give Josh Newsome from Sound Services a call, he does a lot of the all ages shows around here. I think his rates are around $50-75 for a show. His number is 574-551-8705, tell him the guys from Artificial Red sent you.
