Do you buy the pieces/parts for assembly, or are you carving this by hand?
either way....very cool.

That's nice. Ever build an EUB? Want to?

Everything has been done by hand. I did use a band saw and jointer to get started but other than that it has all been hand tools; chisels, gouges, knives, planes etc.
EUB? Actually, I was considering making that my next project. I have an overseas tour coming up next summer and really don't want to ship my bass over for the thing, so...an electric seemed like the clearest alternative. We'll see though, I need to finish this bass first.

I can take a look at if for you. PM me.
Music? What ever happens! I've got irons in a few fires right now, so I get to play a pretty good variety of stuff- rock, folk, jazz, funk, bluegrass, even a bit of classical every now and then. Hopefully I won't get the chance to play much on it though. The plan is to sell it so I can fund the next one.

The varnish and strings come before the price tag.
