I'm attempting to not suck at drums anymore and would like to find a professional teacher in the area. I would prefer someone with experience in multiple styles, including double bass drumming. If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know!

yup...
Kent Klee, Jamie Simon, Larry Ford, and Brandon Ford would would also be on my short list of potential instructors. Depending on how far advanced you already are, Mike Shorter would be a good option as well. He was one of Steve's students and is very solid. I think he's mostly working with beginner to intermediate drummers right now though. He does apply a lot of Steve's techniques (teaching-wise) as one of his students.

Come to B Sharp. You have your choice between me (Jon Ross), the Great Jamie Simon, or the even greater Kent Klee.

Oh yeah, put Jon Ross on my list... I feel stupid now. No slight intended. Jon ROCKS! Cool guy too!
