Great album, but Hatful of Hollow would probably make my list first.

Come on guys, No Triller? I know Michael Has gotten kinda weird in the last two decades but Triller is the number one selling Album of all time and no one has given it props???

Check this out "Michael Jackson's Thriller is the bestselling album of all time, with 45 million worldwide sales powered by seven Top 10 U.S. singles and eight Grammy Awards"

I'll give him props. Album wise, it's gonna be a looong time till someone has the impact like he did.
Thats still good sh*t man. Everything after that by michael I can careless about, but when your breaking Beatles records all over and over, your doing something right. Plus the production put into the album at that time was unreal. Quincy Jones was in charge of production and it shows. Think of all the influence he had on music videos cause of this album. No one was doing that stuff... 'At All'

You know your music is good when it stands the test of time. There is stuff on that Album that will probably get played till the day we all die. Where's the love for Triller?

I'll second that. Great players on that album too. And the thing about Quincy and Michael that you don't see anymore is he let the player's shine, and shine they did, without outshining Michael.

I thought Anthony Jackson played on some of that recording too, but I guess not... either that or Wikipedia's wrong, which wouldn't surprise me either...

Triller

Post by QuiNSANiTy »

I think what Bassjones is saying is, unlike many of todays albums. triller had alot of work put into it and Quincy Jones is a big reason for that. For those of you who don't know who Quincy jones is , Quincy jones is probably the best all around producer in the entertainment biz (today).

He produced many Tv shows like the freshprince (co produced), also Mad TV. He's constantly seeking up and coming artist in R&B, soul, or even assembles great talent to put albums together for himself. He has a strong background in music, great arranger song writer, and wrote his first song at the age of 16. He started off on Trumpet and at the age of 17 or 19 ( i think), he was playing with Jazz greats such as Charlie Parker, miles davis, Dizzy gillspie.

I know many people on here can probably careless. But the point is he has a strong back group in Music which helped him be a much more superior producer then others. Triller video was the first million dollar music video. Before that no one was doing that.

Anyways,

i only have two albums I dog from the 80's

Michael Jacksons-Triller and Bob Marley-Legend

It just seemed like their was alot of one hit wonders in the 80s.
