Best/Worst of the 90s

Ok, so I told someone I'd throw a comp together of some mid-90s classics (so he doesn't have to spend 19.99 plus S/H). And I want some input.
I'm looking at mostly the post-Cobain years, but anything from 92 to ~97 works. (Nothing that hit big after rapmetal really.) Anything from the obvious (Soundgarden), to the not-so-obvious (even your mother wasn't listening to Boss Hog), and the sooner-forgotten (OMC).

Pavement - "cut your hair"
Sponge - "plowed"
Spacehog - "in the meantime"
Eels - "novacaine for the soul"
Primitive Radio Gods - "standing outside a broken phone booth with money in my hand"
not so obvious, I think.

I'm going to state one of the obvious but essential bands; there should be some Red Hot Chili Peppers somewhere in the mix! Some Primus is essential too!
If we're mentioning staple singles, I'd naturally use:
Under the Bridge - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Wynona's Big Brown Beaver - Primus
But, this track is a better Primus pick.
Professor Nutterbutter's House of Treats
And Higher Ground by the RHCP captures their older vibe better.
Oh yeah, PJ Harvey and Tori Amos. I'm sure someone has already said NIN.

Dammit!! I can't believe myself!
I would say "John the Fisherman", first.

Me too! DOH! I would go with Tommy the Cat though or Jerry was a Race Car Driver. Got to have some Fishbone on the menue too. Sunless Saturday is a killer tune.
