Apparently i didn't give enough info on my last post, and what the hell who cares if the caps are locked. Any way we are looking for a guitar player with backup vocals for a variety band, we play classic rock, modern rock,alternative, country, blues, and some heavier rock, all cover tunes for now. You can go to www.threatband.com or www.myspace.com/slipkittyband to see scheduling and song lists. We are scheduled thru this year and still booking. We would like to play one to two times a month. If interested please respond.

Ugh.

::resisting the urge and failing::

Please, turn off the CAPS lock.

Also, you might do well to provide more information about your band like, what type music do you play, what is the name of the band, what is your practice schedule like, are you playing covers or originals and if you're playing cover songs, which ones?

I think that any guitarist considering this post might want to know that information, or they may just ask in a PM.

Consolidated your post. No need for duplicate threads. Writing in ALL CAPS is generally considered bad form on the net as it's more difficult to read and it's considered shouting or yelling.

Thanks for the extra information, I hope it nets you some responses! Good luck with your search.

Sounds like a good time, actually... too bad I'm so old... if it was 20 years ago, I'd rock this gig til your face melted. :D

I agree. I'd really like to do it too. . .but there's no way my current work schedule would allow it.

The set list is on fire, though. WOULD LOVE TO BE IN THIS BAND!!! However, I suck.

I hear ya... it's a rockin bunch of radio tunes, and twice a month is a gig load I could handle, too, but....

Oh, well... time and chance happeneth to us all.

Of course, there's also that business of being labeled "2nd guitarist" and standing next to a "Lead guitarist" who insists on playing Dupont B&G with a Marshall half-stack. :D
