Update: WR Bobby Wade has signed a five-year, $15 million contract with the Vikings that includes $4 million in guarantees, the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Recommendation: As of now, Wade is expected to step into a starting role with the Vikings, who had just two veteran receivers — Billy McMullen and Troy Williamson — under contract. That could change however if the team adds another veteran free agent such as Kevin Curtis or ends up drafting a hotshot rookie like speedster Ted Ginn Jr. come April.
