With all the money...

...spent for overpriced tickets... corporate ass-kissing... and the high profile of ALL of it.
The Superbowl should NEVER be played in an open air stadium.
EVER.
stoopid.
Tickets to the big game.... $3500
flights... hotels... entertainment... luxury amenities...$5700
Sitting in the pouring 58-degree rain with a $.05 hefty bag covering a $400 (newly acquired) favorite team jersey...
Priceless

agreed....maybe even go so far as to build "super bowl stadium" someplace entirely neutral and devoid of anything sports-related. like montana.
then again, that would take away huge amounts of money from the cities that host the game...

I was feeling kinda bad for the cheerleaders. A cold damp rain makes for mighty nipply conditions.

None of the male viewers were complaining. Since the NFL banned "Wardrobe Malfunctions" from the half-time show, something's got to happen.

Like the montana, as in "Joe" (actually exists)
Hope Indy could get the 2011 game though.
(retractable stadiums would be a great standard
for all stadiums in the NFL)

Yeah, but this past SuperBowl is the only one that rain has been a factor. One out of 41 isn't any reason to "abandon ship".

Lest we forget the "Ice Bowl". Granted that wasn't a Super Bowl (it was the NFL Championship Game back then). But I'm sure there've been others affected by rain, we just don't remember them. Personally I only clearly remember the last ten or so.
Maybe they should just build a giant stadium in (or around) Vegas. Think about the giant party they throw for two weeks every year around the Super Bowl and imagine how huge that party would be in Las Vegas. Plus, this year's SB week was a little tame. Lord knows if it was in Vegas, Tank Johnson would've been in jail by Tuesday.
