Where did you come up with your screen name?

I thought this would be a cool topic that might help break the ice with some people that don't really know each other.

Mine, Romancraig, came from my favorite movie.

It was Dan Akroyd's character's name in The Great Outdoors.

****Mod edit, even though you broke the rules, I will make this a sticky because it was a good idea, tisk tisk

Being a rabid Elvis Costello fan I went thru his song titles looking for an idea.

Oliver's Army was the only one with a guys name in the title.

Bingo Bango Bongo.

Funny thing is that I barely know the story behind the "Oliver", and I sure as heck wouldn't be part of ANY army.

Well, in my youth I was part of the KISS Army. But no guns.

Well except my Love Gun.

In the eighth grade my friends Matt Stonebraker, Rejon Sarrazine, and James Trolio were always making fun of me. I was like the honors class punching bag. I was always the butt of some joke.

Anyhow, without bringing myself back to adolecent tears, Garr was a nickname they gave me while making fun of the way I wrote my name on my assignments. My last name is Gaff and my two f's looked like r's. Lame story, I know, but that name has stuck with me for more than half my life, so I don't think that it's ever going away.

Now, there are at least a hundred people who have never heard my real name, as they are introdcued to me as Garr. I even introduce myself that way.

Sharkman Six is the title of a book I was reading when I first joined FWM.

Image

About the book:
Former Marine West shows staggering insight into the demoralizing dangers of Third World police duty in this powerful debut chronicling the clash of Marine vets and armed warlords in Somalia. Lt. Gavin Kelly went from Harvard ROTC to Desert Storm success, but lost a Marine under his command and wants to assuage the guilt with his latest mission protection Red Cross food distribution in Operation Hope.
An OK weekend read; if you're into military jargon and third world violence.

as a fan of Dark City, I have no clue what you're talking about.

Jojo the circus monkey: I have no idea. I hate coming up with screennames. A lot of times, if i think i'm going to get saucy on a board i'll go with "Jesus" that way when people talk sh*t to me, they're talking sh*t to Jesus. It's win-win. But Jojo..? I have no idea. I imagined Homer S. saying something like it.

Sorry about your luck. It was available. I kept it. I like it better than "Fleek", personally.

I once had a salvation army bought contruction co. shirt, the label said Kim on it. I needed an alias at the time so I took it. Contarary to some peoples belief it has nothing to do with the girl Kim that I was seeing around the same time. Otherwise I would have changed it years ago.

Kim Aliz
Aliz Kim

or

Al is Kim

simple maybe even corny. but i have had it for 8 years now and I am somewhat of a conservative and you know how we love change ;)
