Lovin' the JamCrib

I'm in a band called The Trainhoppers and late late last year we started practicing at the JamCrib. I can't tell you how much I love it. The comfort, convenience and amenities are awesome, and the fact that you have to pay a (unreasonably small) fee adds accountability to everyone in the band -- you gotta be there, we're PAYING for this.

Not to mention it doesn't smell like cat piss.

Anyway, I'm sure this is an old story, and people probably have their formed opinions on the place, good or bad. I drove by it 4x a day but never thought it was right for my band, for a few reasons. Now I think it might just save the band.

the jam crib is THE place to practice in town. rates are cheap, and it's tough to find a place to fit a 6-person band.

my favorite part is the completely automated bathroom.

everyone should be practicing there. and, save the cat piss aroma for recording sessions in new haven.... :)

paraphrased from Lewis Black:

. . .and I started thinking that I wanted a feeding tube because there are those Friday nights when I drank too much and I wake up Saturday morning and I'm hungry, but I don't feel like chewing. . .

I agree Mr. Kelley. That's where my new duo partner and I have been practicing of late.. It's a convenient, central place to meet and get some work done. hmm, come to think of it, I need to schedule me some time this weekend.

Yeah, D. Gary and S. Hunk have been rocking there and, I must say, it's nice not having to find a million f'ing cords and mics and this and that to make everyone happy at practice. Show up with a guitar and some sticks.

I never thought I'd like it as much as I do.

I just wanted to let people know that Tim is all about serving the customer and making sure that people are comfortable. For that reason, he does have available to him several full litter boxes that he can put into a room at any time, should you want a more "earthy" Jam Crib experiance.

Because it's all about you, the customer. Way to go, Tim!
