Due to a difference of opinions Scummy has chosen to leave PMel and work with Kantis alone. This Friday goes on without a hitch though, as well as another unannounced show next month.
We have prospects, no fear. Possibly a familiar face

Sorry to hear that, but glad you have prospects.
Also, I edited a few errors out of your post.

Without Scummy, now it's just Pleasing Mel Gibson.

well honestly Scummy had always enjoyed the old Pleasing Melani better then what we do now. He didnt really realized that when we pulled him in 2 years ago we were changing our style. We noticed him not being all in it the last few months.

also, none of it was personal actually either, just about the music.

An additional note.
One thing that has been really great about PMel is that all of us have been friends since High School and earlier (considering the lead singer and I are brothers it goes way back)
The only exception to that has been our bass players. We met Justin (our first bass player and bassist of former Action Jaxson) through Scottys brother Sam. They worked at Pizza Hut together.
Then we met Scummy when I was trying out new vocalists for severence years back. I checked out his band audiotopsy and was floored by his talent on bass. So when we decided to let Justin go, there was no question who I wanted to ask to join.
This time we are going to try to avoid that by going closer to home on our next choice. Especially since we are going on the road soon. All of us old friends have been through so much together that being cramped in a van for months will be pretty easy. Though we don't all have the same opinions or musical tastes for that matter, we all understand each other and respect each other. I think that was always a bit sketchy with scummy and justin.
Nothing personal against either one of them, that are both great guys and phenomenal musicians! But I think that long term friendship is really important with the chemistry of our band. Everytime we have tried to add new people (max, or my temp replacement on drums omo) it just didnt seem right.

I dont know, there are 6 of us and 3 of them, and technically Scummy is still a part of us until the end of Feb. so it should be interesting seeing him fight himself

6 on 3...doesn't matter.
Scummy would make the other two sit and then pile drive all of you fools.
I don't trust that Scotty, though. That f*cker might cut someone.

Yeah exactly why I would bet on PMel.
Although an interesting fact that goes with my long term friends point earlier is that the 2 other guys in Kantis (Turbo and Rusty) are our old time friends too.
I have been jamming off and on with Runkle for many years. I even Jammed with his older brother Dave Runkle (RIP) while I was in High School.

since I noticed via other people on myspace announcing it, the secret is out.
We are trying out (and hoping for) Matt Brown (Former vocalist of Sealing Pandora and very old/good friend) for the role of bass.
He will be lurking around tonight. Be sure to give him a kiss and scummy a kidney punch
