People put on shows at the Firehouse Theater (1245 E. State) fairly often.

I am working on another master plan for an all ages venue that is central but I would not expect it until at least spring 08.

Come2Go seems like they're getting more selective now and mostly booking Christian or acoustic acts, so it might be hard getting a hard rock band booked. It's too bad they stopped doing their Last Friday concert series, it was fun playing there back in April.
Sunset is decent, it's just that the location isn't great- I've heard of a few parents not wanting their kids to go there because of where it is.
Jam Crib is kinda small, but it can be really fun when you get a lot of people packed into the stage room. It's a more personal venue.
Other than that, we really don't have a lot of places dedicated to all ages shows. It can be hard being in an original band that wants to play all ages shows in Fort Wayne so I would definitely be in favor of someone opening up a new venue.

That'll happen just as soon as you find someone who is in favor of losing their shirt.
i remember people saying what Fort Wayne needed was an all-ages venue for loud rock music back when I was playing in a local band. In
1972.
And there still isn't one because there's no money in it. You can't mark up soda and chips like bars mark up booze, and if you hire staff they steal you blind. The neighbors hate you, the paper demonizes you, the cops crawl you (there are always plenty of 17-year-old chuckleheads more than willing to help you get in trouble with them). And then some kid gets beaten half to death in your parking lot, and when the lawsuit clears, you're broke.
But hey, somebody go for it. A comdemned building right next to a vacant lot full of rusty nails would be perfect.

i cant find any coffee houses around here that'll cater to our style of music.
ive been trying the basement thing too, again, cant find anybody willing to let us do it.
come 2 go? wtf forget about it. my chances of getting booked there are about as good as the chance that christopher reeves might rise up from the grave and learn how to walk again.

Because I'm in a good mood I'll ignore that this one time. But consider that a warning. Good natured ribbing about poor grammar is part of the culture around here, so you can expect it.

Wow, you are old
All of that is still contingent upon anyone showing up.
Anyone who won't go to Sunset because of its location is a racist moron. That part of the South Side community is very safe, as is 90% of it despite the perception.
