Hehe...bassjones is all about this topic:) So, a fetus is a human being now...that's a fact, right? No opposing opinions on it, right?

Ummm...yeah, I thought so...

Pro-life, pro-choice...two opposing views to an issue. Neither is right (or wrong), they are just different. So please don't spout your opinions and present them as fact.

never mind. I don't feel like debating abortion. If you took DNA from the fetus what do you suppose it would tell you? By the time most women know their pregnant at all the fetus has a beating heart, developing lungs, can feel pain, has opposable thumbs, developing human brain.... yeah, it's a scientific fact. It's a human being. It may be a pre-born human being, but it is a human being.

Oh wait... I said I wasn't going to do that.

Anyway, what the hell is wrong with this woman? Every woman I know who has miscarried, let alone aborted has had tremendous psychological pain afterwards and this sociopath feels nothing? After multiple intended pregnancies and induced miscarriages within a 9 month time period???? Really? There is something very seriously wrong with her Psyche.

Hmmm...should I even continue on an abortion debate on here?

Just so you have where I am coming from, I'm the proud parent of a nine-month-old and expecting a second in October. I've also been through 3 miscarriages, all three of them requiring surgery, with one of them needing to remove one of my wife's tubes... During that time, I've seen tons of ultrasounds...anywhere from 4 weeks to 20 weeks...its pretty standard to see those pretty early...and the ones from about 6 weeks and under, there is no heartbeat...anyways, I think it "could be true" that "most" women have a fairly developed fetus by the time they know they are pregnant...but not all.

And what are the stats on this chick? How far along are her abortions? I mean, if she's having multiple pregnancies aborted in 9 months, none of them can be that far along...but I digress.

Abortion issue aside, yes, I do agree, there is something wrong with this woman. I don't know what would drive this woman to do what she has done...there is obviously something going on in her mental state, no doubt.

A seed carries the same DNA as the plant which it will turn into once it germinates. When I eat sunflower seeds, no one is screaming at me. Debating it or not, your beliefs are not fact. Nor are mine. They are opinions. You've learned what you learned and formed your own ideas on it just as have we all.

However, I'll use this opportunity to point out (as I often do) that even facts don't demand truth. Facts can be proven a)false or b)equal to the result every other test of the fact has wrought.

I can state: A fetus is a human. Right now, no source can definitively prove that without reasonable doubt and differing opinions. At one point, it was a fact that the sun revolved around the earth; it was a fact that the purpose of blood in the body was to cool the brain; it was a fact that four elements made up everything in the world. . .
There are 10 types of people in the world.

Those who understand binary. . .

. . .and those who don't.

"The goal in creating the art exhibition, Shvarts said, was to spark conversation and debate on the relationship between art and the human body."

ok...

So, she succeeded in sparking conversation and debate. I still don't see the relationship between art and the human body though.

"But Shvarts insists her concept was not designed for "shock value."

I'm sure she never knew it would go there.

"I hope it inspires some sort of discourse," Shvarts said."

WTF does that mean?

"Sure, some people will be upset with the message and will not agree with it, but it's not the intention of the piece to scandalize anyone."

Scandalize who? Did a congressman knock you up?

What's the forking message again? Sorry honey, I'm not pretentious enough to grasp it.

After that many induced miscarriages, I suppose the good news is she'll probably never be able to carry a child to term...

I don't know if creating a bloody mess is art. There was an "artist" in South America that brought a stray dog into an art gallery, tied in the corner, and let it starve to death. He called it art.
