And how often do things like "this" happen???

I will really be surprised if steriods, or some performance enhancements weren't at least indirectly involved in this...

Roid rage.

Depression.

Alcoholism.

At this point, does anyone really even care?

I've been texting Ramon (my tiny Cuban guitarist) about this all day. We loved watching Benoit. He was one of our favorites. This is a damned shame.

I'm guessing deek's right - roid rage strikes again.

He smothered his son.

He strangled his wife (who used to manage him as "Woman").

He hung himself.

'Roids found in the house...

"Investigators also found prescription anabolic steroids in the house, Lt. Tommy Pope of the Fayette County Sheriff's Department. He would not comment on Benoit's state of mind or possible motive. "

ESPN radio was providing some stats...I didn't catch all of them, but the one show had a list of over 100 pro wrestlers that have died in the last 10-15 years before age 65. Over half of them were in their 40s...its obviously a problem that doesn't fall into the limelight because no one really cares...but it is a problem.

I heard the same. I believe they were going as far back as 1985.

Stupidity.

It's all about the $$$. Most people would do the same thing if offered the same amount of money these guys are paid.

I sure as hell would.

Now that these details are coming out, I wonder if the WWE will air another tribute or just pretend like he never existed.

I personally vote for a tribute to his wife (and son) with little to no mention of him.

Not like I would watch either as I'm not a huge wrestling fan, but it kind of makes me wonder how the WWE is going to play this...

Oh my god, Anabolic Steroids made him kill his whole family and himself.

I guess Charles Manson was sauced up as well.

OH, did anyone drug test Hitler before he died?

They cancelled his title match Sunday night, telling the crowd he had a family emergency. Monday night they ran a three hour tribute show to him. As more details come out, I think you're right - maybe we should be celebrating his family and not him.

You're denying 'roid rage???

Manson was on drugs, as was his entire "family" - deadly combinations of barbituates and hallucinogenic drugs in fact. And there is some evidence that Hitler was addicted to amphetimines as well.

Yes I am, as probably the only person on here who has ever used them.

It is just another excuse for people to use to point the finger and put blame on something besides themselves. People can't accept the fact that someone just went nuts.

What ever happened to people just being Bat sh*t Crazy?

It seems like there is an excuse for why everyone acts up or does something wrong these days.

The guy was a crazy dickhead, leave it at that.
