Best. Episode. Ever. :D

In my opinion, LOST completely redeemed itself from the lackluster first half of the season.

I can't wait for next season, which, if I remember correctly won't be starting until January. Damn.

Actually I think its February. It was a great episode. I figured out the flash forward thing pretty quickly though, not just based on the espisode but from stuff I've read other places. I think next season will begin with them actually leaving the Island and have a few episodes of that, but eventually they will all realize leaving was a mistake and they will contact Dharma and return to the island with a specific goal in mind. Also, I can't believe they actually killed Charlie. It will be a long wait. This finale almost made me forget how unimpressive Heroes finale was.

That was one f'ing brutal episode (in a good sense).

That sucks the way Charlie died....nice to watch my favorite targets get whacked in this episode.

The show has redeemed itself. Just wonder how they are going to wrap this up...

My theory is that everything that happened after Locke killed that chick with the knife (possibly even earlier than that) was one of Desmond's flashes, including the flash forward with Jack and Kate and all of that. (Which I also saw coming, btw. Sidenote: I betcha it was Locke that was in the coffin. Jack was torn up about it because Locke was right after all, but nobody else came to the funeral because he had no friends or family and everyone else on the island disliked him because of what he'd been doing)

Anyway, I think next season will start off with Desmond recovering from one of his flashes right after Charlie drowns, getting back to the beach and warning Jack that it's not a rescue boat via Hurley's new walkie talkie.

And yeah, sucks about Charlie, but yay for dead Tom, Patchy and all the rest of the Others. Finally the survivors have some teeth.
This finale almost made me forget how unimpressive Heroes finale was.
Don't even get me started on that travesty of unfulfilled television blue balls.

I loved it. Best season finale I've seen in a long time.

BANG!!
Hurley - "Dude, he surrendered"
Sawyer - "I didn't believe him"

:)

Was I the only one who knew Serge wasn't dead?

Grab him, shove head in water, hold for ten minutes. Rinse, repeat....

I thought it was great too. Very redeemable effort. Someone explain me this tho:

When Jack is stealing drugs and the Dr. confronts him, why does he
say "Get my father down here and see if he's any less drunk than me" Or something to that effect.

Um, if this is in the future Jack's father should be dead, right?

I figure he was so drugged up and drunk, not to mention all around strung out and delusional, that he just forgot his dad was dead. The doctor gave him a look like "what the hell are you talking about" when he said that.

I started thinking that today while at work. The flashes of Jack could easily be Desmond future flashes. They just haven't said anything yet.

Patchy cannot die. He survived the sonic fence, he survived a harpooning (to the heart, no less), and he'll survive the grenade as well. Viva la Patchy.

And Tom dying is NOT cool.

ya think the same is with lock (or whoever else accepts they are already dead)? Can't really kill'em? So Tom's not really dead either? If that's the case, the cutie in the sand should have herself dug out for the next season. excellent.
