PS3 Idiocy

I don't know if you all have been following this madness, but it got pretty ridiculous overnight at some stores. I find it interesting that most of the people picking up a PS3 are turning it back onto EBay and then coming back Sunday to pick-up a Nintendo Wii for themselves. The power of Zelda compells you to sell your Blu-Ray Disaster to the highest bidder. Average weight of most lines would excede most bridge limits is the report I'm hearing.

There's no confirmation that they will have anymore shipped before the New Year. There's speculation that more will be released, but that's about it.

Viva la Wii & 360!!!!

Sony claims 100,000 imported units a week up until Christmas.

I've heard that it's B=backward compatibility isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Yeah, I read that. I don't believe a word Sony says these days, they'll say anything to possibly help their market share.....which is steadily declining across the electronics board.

The Wii will be readily available through the holiday season and so will the 360. You may not be able to nab a Wii on Sunday but you will be able to get one first week of launch.

I seriously doubt it will be in any reasonable supply until next March.

The pricetag for this thing is absolutely ridiculous. Looks like PS2 was the end of the line for me and gaming systems.

$600 is a lot for a system.

I know some people who can put together a nice little gaming PC for that much.

Nintendo Wii = $250 w/ a game

XBOX 360 = $300 for base system, $400 for Deluxe

PS3 = $499 for base system (which they don't manufacture many of), $599 for Deluxe

The Wii is quite affordable.

The only saving grace of the PS3 is the well known games series that use it's system: Metal Gear and Final Fantasy.

It'll be a great system; it's just gonna take a few years.

Does Nintendo still market most of their games towards younger kids? It always seemed that way to me.
