Was a little disappointed at the write up of Reilly in Whatzup. Would have expected a little more than one page. Maybe it was a space issue.

Anyone on here with any musical taste or open-mindedness....I can't imagine missing this show. Even if you haven't heard his material, I guarantee it will rock well past the value of the mony you pay to get in.

This just in: Ollie has won tickets to this show and will apparently be going unless he comes down with the type of genreal dysentery that keeps him from other local shows...or unless his wifey says "no".

So now this show has got some street cred. Whew. Thank Geowd.

Hardly. She's the one who told me I'd won.

Was just ribbin' ya.

When I mentioned this show to a friend this past wekend he said he wasn't going, that Ike "wasn't for me", etc. The more I thought about it, the more I'm struck that Ike's music is meant to be experienced live. It's just that type of material and I think someone who may not "get" him now might "get" him better after seeing his show. Besides, $5? That's a combo meal at Wendy's. Which is also a good thing.

Or maybe Ike's music is actually "not for him."

It is possible to have one's own valid opinions.

Maybe try less.

Not for me.
Cool. At least you checked it out. But my point about the live aspect still stands.

Any idea when Ike is playing? I see that the shindig starts around 6:30, and I have a business meeting that starts at 5. Assuming I get out around 8 and am at the Conservatory before 9 how much Ike do I get to see?

the matt kelly band is opening i believe. i'd say if you get there around 8, you'll see most (if not all) of ike reilly.

Howdy yall!

Hope to see some of you out there. Looks like we might get lucky with the weather.

Dag, haven't been around these parts in awhile, I see you have started making criticisms without an alias, I like that.

Anyway, the rough itinerary:
TH 7:15 - 7:55
MTVRI 8:10 - 9
IRA 9:15 - 10:45

What a great show. The dude is 53 years old and rocks like he's 19. Amazing.
