I have to say, it's refreshing to see the festival committee giving local music a shot on a major night during the Three Rivers Festival.
Here's the lineup for Friday, July 14th:
2:15 - 3:15......Chris Dodds
3:45 - 4:45......Moser Woods
6:00 - 6:45......Possum Trot Orchestra
7:00 - 7:45......The Mimi Burns Band
8:00 - 8:45......Duane Eby & Friends
9:00 - 9:45......The Taj Maholics
10:00 - 10:45...The Mike Conley Band
11:00 - 11:45...The Legendary Trainhoppers
Geez, I hope I got those time slots correct............Anyways, this should be an awesome show!!!

they are afraid of local music.. when they see what a show MMF will be.. they won't book another national act ever.

I don't think they're afraid of local music. They've booked a ton of local acts this past week. Quite a few, I might add, are on the MMF billing.

Yeah, and I
WONDER why they decided to add the majority of them at the last second???
At any rate, I'm glad to see it, too.

Is this a MMF vs. TRF deal? If so, I'm really dissapointed in FWM.com.

Yeah, not at all....MMF is an affiliated event & they've done a bunch of promotion for us and vice-versa.
What I was hinting to is that certain people on this board (as well as FWM.com staff) took a pro-active role in helping to get local music booked in the main tent at 3RF, especially at the last minute after the "national" acts where announced.
Now that I re-read my post, I can see how you'd think that.

GOOD!! We're so very fortunate to have the FWM.com's & the Whatzup's & Ft. Wayne Reader's in our community.

I think it starts even earlier than the C Dodds gig -- Cathy & Munger at 11 and Lee & Kyle at 1-ish.
I'll be eating pizza-on-a-stick for lunch today and listening to one of the above duos.

Do ya know the exact time Lee Miles graces the stage? I'd love to
catch him over lunch break....
